When you operate a business in Hungary, it is your responsibility as an employer that your employees remain fit for their jobs. Now a new regulation is supposed to reduce the need for mandatory health checkups in low-risk jobs.

Starting from 1 November 2023, a new residency option will become available to third country nationals coming to work in Hungary. The new “guest worker residency” promises a simplified procedure in exchange for some the curtailment of some rights, but only people working for specific employers and in specific projects will be eligible.
