EVERYONE’S GOT A BLOG SO WE WANT ONE, TOO!

Welcome to the first entry of the Helpers Blog. Before you bookmark this page and never come back again, let me explain what this blog is and what we hope it will become.

Over the past seven years, Helpers has grown from a problem-solving service for expats in Budapest to a full-service provider of business, language and relocation services for foreigners living, working or doing business in Hungary. In the course of this period, we have accumulated a wealth of knowledge that comes to us in tidbits from partners and experts we work with, clients who share their experiences with us, and the media and the world around us in general. We have tried various methods of sharing this knowledge, from a fancy and fun but sporadic newsletter to Facebook posts, conferences, interviews and website updates. Now we have decided to launch a blog and just start spreading the word. That simple.

On these pages, we plan to feature a bunch of different things that (hopefully) have one thing in common: they are of special interest to small and medium-size business owners and freelance entrepreneurs in Hungary and the region. While most media tends to focus on news and information that concerns corporations and banks and the like, we will try to discuss topics that are directly relevant for our clients and partners. We’ll have guest posts by experts in various fields, and throw random pieces of information out there as we come across it. We’ll also use this blog as a forum where you can post questions and concerns for us to react to. So if there’s anything you’d like to read about, don’t hold back, let us know!
