Trading electronic devices in the EU
A large number of companies whose main business is trading electronic devices in the EU choose to have their headquarters in Hungary. Here is an overview of all the advantages available to you.
The lowest corporate tax in Europe
Hungary has lowered corporate tax to 9% starting from the beginning of 2017. This makes Hungary the country with the lowest corporate tax in Europe. Naturally, the tax only applies to the company’s profits, not its total income. Even better, the tax rate is flat, meaning that small and medium companies can benefit from it just like bigger corporations.
The geographical center of the continent
Hungary’s central location within Europe makes it ideal for trading. The country extremely well-connected to the rest of the world by air, rail, land and water. This makes renting warehouse facilities in Hungary an excellent choice.
Of course, it is not a requirement that you store your goods in Hungary. With your Hungarian company, you can just as easily sell electronic devices form a warehouse in an entirely different part of the world.
VAT-free trading
Your Hungarian company comes with an immediate and automatic EU VAT number. This means that a large proportion of your sales can be VAT-free. When your customer is a company from another EU country, you do not need to charge VAT on the transaction. When you sell to Hungarian companies or private persons, 27% VAT is applicable. However, most of this can be reclaimed later.
