Helpers charity run for the blind and visually impaired – Come join us!
Helping those in need of help is one of the core values at Helpers. This includes providing support not only to businessmen or expats looking for assistance in following various bureaucratic procedures, but also to charities. Last year we went for a ride around Lake Velence, and now we are hitting the Margaret Island in Budapest. Come join us!
The charity run is organized by the LÁSS association for sports for people with visual impairment. They regularly arrange activities for the blind or partially sighted, and now they are inviting everyone to support their work by joining a charity run. The event will take place on the Margaret Island of Budapest, on December 6. This is the day of Santa Clause in Hungary, who is called “Mikulás” – that’s why the event is called “MikuLÁSS Run”.
The run will consist of one or two laps around the island, depending on how fit you consider yourself. However, if you don’t feel fit enough to run, you are invited to come cheer the runners or donate to their cause.
In this event, Helpers supports not only the LÁSS association, but also BAGázs, who are working for the social integration of the Romani. The latter association wanted to participate in the event with a group of children, and Helpers provides the means to do so, also arranging for them to get to Budapest and then home again.
You should also come!
Submit your application here, and meet us on Margaret Island, in front of the Athletic Center on December 6, before 11:00 a.m. Take your chance to support a good cause and get a little healthier with the Helpers Team.
